Time can never erase the bonds of sisterhood...

Ann Santos and Zeta Chi chapter sister, Dianne Seltzer, reconnected at their high school class reunion in Wisconsin in July. Ann was maid of honor in Dianne's wedding 48 (gasp!) years ago, but although they have corresponded regularly they hadn't seen each other since 1969. Where do the years go???

Be a sweetheart and volunteer your home for the February meeting!
It is scheduled to be our popular salad potluck luncheon, and you just provide the site and beverages. We plan to do a philanthropy craft project too, so need space to work, and a restaurant is not appropriate. A location in the north/central or northwest valley would be great, but other areas will be fine! Contact Monica Montez ASAP.

Urgent Need!

We are looking for a Delta Zeta alum who would be willing to be nominated to be on the Pi Zeta of Delta Zeta House Corporation Board. If you are interested in becoming more active with the Pi Zeta chapter, this opportunity could be for you.

House Corporation Board Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Pi Zeta chapter in all areas of housing at Arizona State University
  • Contrary to popular belief, House Corp is not all about interior design. House Corp is charged with seeing that the Pi Zeta chapter has sufficient and adequate housing on the ASU campus and that the house and its contents are maintained.
  • We work with the chapter President, House Manager and VP of New Members to insure members understand their responsibilities to fill our housing at Adelphi
  • HC hosts the Turtle Draw for new members
  • House Corp is also responsible for selecting the Gwen Walters Grant recipients
  • Mentor the active members as needed

Position Requirements:

  • We are looking for someone who has computer skills and internet access as many decisions are decided and discussed by email
  • All alumnae serving as directors must be members of the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter, as well as members of the Pi Zeta of Delta Zeta House Corporation (any DZ who has donated at least $10 to Pi Zeta HC is a member of the HC, and this can be done at any time).

Position Time Commitment:

  • Elected term is three years
  • As a member of House Corporation you will participate in 2-4 in-person meetings per year at Adelphi Commons, our ASU home
  • We have regular email discussions and decision-making
  • In the summer, House Corp works to get the chapter rooms ready for the next school year by seeing that carpets and upholstery is cleaned and any missing or needed items are replaced or repaired.

If you are interested in learning more about House Corp Board or would like to be considered to be a member of the Pi Zeta of Delta Zeta House Corporation Board, contact Susan Norman ASAP.
